Workshops In Dance Competitive Dance Teams are committed to excellence! The competition team provides members an outlet to express themselves through the art of dance, as well as camaraderie and socialization. Each individual on the team is recognized for her or his unique talents, abilities and interests. The team is united in striving for common goals, such as achieving academic excellence at school, promoting dance team spirit and serving the community as positive role models. Workshops In Dance Competitive Dance Teams encourages leadership, seeks excellence from themselves and others, as well as sharing members' talents with the community.

Workshops In Dance Jr. Jazz Team Dancer - Awarded Destination Broadway Scholarship!
Meaghan, of Yardley Pa, a WID dancer since the age of three and a competitive dance team member on our Junior Jazz Team, received a scholarship to attend "Destination Broadway" in New York City with the renowned Michael Rafter and faculty. Michael is the Co-founder and Artistic Director of the "Destination Broadway Summer Workshops Program created for young singers, dancers and actors. "Destination Broadway" is in its 6th year and has over 700 graduates. Meaghan also was selected as a dancer on the Philadelphia Soul Dance Team Jr. Division. Congratulations Meaghan!

Nicole, of Yardley PA started dancing at Workshops In Dance at the age of five. She competed on our Jr. Jazz Team, Senior Hip Hop Team, Musical Theater Jazz Team and Lyrical Ballet Team.

Workshops In Dance Sr. Hip Hop Team Dancer - "So You Think You Can Dance" Contestant!
Brittany, of Yardley, PA, one of our sensational hip hop dancers and Workshops In Dance Competitive Team Dancer, trekked up to New York City and auditioned to be a contestant for the very popular television series "So You Think You Can Dance"! After going through a very difficult and rigorous dance audition with over 300 contestants auditioning, we are very proud to announce, Brittany was selected! Her hip hop improv wowed Nigel Lythgoe and she was ecstatic to receive her "pass" to continue the audition process in Los Angeles, CA.! Congratulations Brittany!
In addition, Miss Brittany danced with the Neshaminy Valley Musical Theater, in her senior year at Pennsbury High School. Brittany attended Indiana University, with a minor in Musical Theater Arts, and transferred to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.. She danced on the Bloomsburg University Dance Team for three years, which has won 1st place for five consecutive years. She is a guest teacher for our Spring and Summer sessions at Workshops In Dance and will be joining our teaching staff Fall 2011.
